You could set up your Notrun right next to Joes bike, Paul.

That way you two could catch up on old times.

Fairly noob in PDX looking to expand my working knowledge.  Willing to clean, sweep, make your coffee, roll your cigs, or anything else in exchange for working/wrenching knowledge of motorbikes.

Anyone in PDX willing to share?

I have a couple sets... not sure if they're better or not. Gimme a ring when you're in town.

There's not really a "usually"... M-F I'm often there, say 11-7. I'll PM you my number though, and feel free to call/text me Saturday to see if I'm around.

Oi! Portland Oregon people. It's time for DOOMTOWN's spring party. Oh, and what do you know... it's my birthday again!

From 2-6, DOOMTOWN and EMPIRE CLASSICS will be hosting the FFMC annual chili cookoff, after which our party will kick off. We will have slow races, beer, and a few punk bands. The noise needs to end by 10 and I will kick everyone out at midnight. The chili cookoff will benefit a couple friends with recent riding injuries, and the party will benefit all who come.

Bummer I didn't get my bike before I moved.
Born and raised in Portland, but didn't buy my first bike till I moved here to San Francisco.
Planning on riding back up in not too long though(and periodically after that), so maybe I'll see some of you around.

I am just wondering if we could revive this post!!!!

I am in Beaverton, Oregon.  I have a 1980 CB650 and a 1981 CB650.  Looking to see if anyone is still around and willing to help a newbie!!!

Welcome to the forum from Idaho.  All the Oregonians I used to converse with seem to have long since moved on.

Hi San Dog - I will try to simplify my answer to what I am needing currently:
1.  I really want to see a running 1981 CB650C so I can just see, touch, inspect the set-up.  It can be difficult at times to understand the properly set-up.
2.  Wanted to get to know others in the area, to discuss parts, shops, upgrades

Specific needs
1. carb, vacuum lines, airbox set-up for a 1981 CB650c
2. Lighting Diagram and process to change to LED turn signals, headlight and tail/brake light.  I have the electrical diagram and can follow it, but it does take a little knowledge to understand.

I know all these topics are covered somewhere, but someone on the forumn or internet, but I sometimes I am not sure the proper question to ask or how to phrase what I actually need.

I dont have a CB650, but if I did I'd start with a factory service manual. I have one for just about every bike I own. It'll cost you $100 or so, but it will save you a lot of time scouring forums.

LED lights will usually need a different blinker unit so the turn signals work. Some bike use the front turn signals as running lights, but that can be worked out.

Did you buy a none running project bike?
