Some guys like it some guys plain hate it. Some guys like it but hate how it speeds up and slows down (sometimes stops) with normal for type voltage fluctuations. I cracked the sucker open like a tach or speedo to see what makes it tick. It uses a spring voice coil with a matching resistor and is coupled to a steel diaphragm. Crude or Flintstone like as the rest of the bike, I removed Rubble's guts. I had a piezo buzzer laying around from Radio Shack 86DB P/N 2730060 and shoved it in the hole after cutting the mounting tabs off, staked the Honda metal cover back on less the diaphragm then slid the rubber cover back on like a Ramzee, and Bobs my uncle. Wired it direct less the resistor at the soldered end of the buzzards harness. Works better than new and it still drives some of my riding buddies nuts, however it is a now a very consistent and reliable quality aggravation to them.
