CB550K Starter Clutch Fix with Video

Scottly wanted me to post this here regarding the successful repair of my starter clutch due to a bad spring, so here it is:

I am very happy to report that the through-the bottom starter clutch fix I performed on my bike went successfully! All in all it takes about two hours to get everything off and out, and another two hours to get everything back in - but Yes, it can be done! Here's the before and after videos:

After: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/FuxBffRdiZ8

It's really not too hard, you just have to take your time and manipulate the starter clutch and the big starter gear off the primary chain, which takes some finesse, and then gently work them back IN to the primary chain without having the clutch starter rollers drop out; getting the starter gear back in was a bit tricky too, but this was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

No more Scary Noises!
