Many many moons ago when I lived in the southwest suburbs of Chicago the city was pushing a program called "new earth" which was basically processed sludge from the city waste dept and was literally giving the stuff away and saying it was the best thing since compost. My sis inlaw asked for 1 load of the stuff for her garden thinking they'd get a dump truck load of the stuff. Uhhm no, my brother came home to find not a dump truck load of the stuff but a semi truck load of it setting on his lawn. I will admit that he got a lot of dirt real cheap, he just had absolutely no clue what to do with all of it. And to make matters worse shortly after many in Cook County and surrounding counties spread this stuff all over their gardens the EPA steps in and says that as fertile as the stuff may be it's also toxic as hell.

right.
 Mostly using 1/2 of total, covered with salvage hay for next year,
 1/2 for trees, blackberry bushes, flowers etc etc,
and mixing a water solution in a plastic 55 gallon drum for watering plants over the summer.

There is so little chicken stuff per volume that it should not be an issue:;
IE, 4 horses *2 Belgians used for pulling? trees through the forest, 2 Arabians for riding),
 11 lllamas, 16 chickens, 18 pigs, 3 longhair type cattle,  101+/- rabbits, etc etc :-)
