my wife is awesome!
« on: May 29, 2013, 01:57:29 PM »
Time to post up stories of when your dearest bailed your sorry @ss out.
here's mine....

Went on a ride last Saturday (5/25).  Only stopped twice, for gas and to snap pics.  Got home and realized i had lost my drivers license along the way.  The only time i had my plastic out was to pay for gas, so it must have fallen out of my pocket when i filled up.  I rode back to the gas station to look for it.  Wasnt there and no one had turned it in. Bummed, i headed home and dug out my old one just so if my luck ran out before i got a replacement, the popo might not hit me with a big ticket.  I was planning on heading to the DMV after work today for a new one.
This morning, I was cruising through my phone pictures and stopped on the one posted below...and noticed something there on the ground.  bottom right. :o
yuuup! ufking dumb@ss!   ::)
phone in one pocket.  valuables in another, from now on.

I sent my wife the picture, she called me dumb@ss, too, and headed out.
Luckily she found it, right there where i left it  ;D :P

Yesterday afternoon, I saw a '98 zx9 on Kijiji located in a town 30 miles away. I phoned my wife at work and asked if she could meet me at the owner's place with the truck as soon as her shift was done. She worked through her remaining breaks in order to get there early, ensuring that I didn't miss out on a killer deal. What a girl! I have more stories but it's someone else's turn.

Mine is my true love when I had my near fatal wreck 2yrs ago she slept in the hospital next to me. when I was able to go home I couldn't move she fed,me bathed me,I couldn't even go to the bathroom by myself.  I was basically useless. I owe her everything. We have been together since high school.
I've done a lot of things in my life that I'm not proud of...and the things I AM proud of, "are disgusting"

Looks we both lucked out mate.
I managed to drive our chair into a tyre wall at around 150kmh when our rear swing arm fractured.
I won't bore you with the injury list, suffice to say I was pretty fcuked up.
Thank God my passenger was spat off early in the wreck and was not seriously injured.
The accident happened at Baskerville Raceway in Tasmania.
When I was stabilized enough, I was flown to Austin Hospital in Melbourne Victoria, where I spent four weeks in ICU, then another six weeks their spinal unit.
But that was only the start.
The next six months was spent coming to terms with my injuries at Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Hospital, again in Melbourne, 700km from home.
Evelyn was beside me from the start, when the paramedics where forced to give me CPR even though my chest was crushed and my lungs where collapsing.
She watched as they wiped the blood off the paddles every time they had to kick start me.
She sat or slept next to me constantly, while I struggled through a morphine induced psychosis for my first two weeks in ICU.
She held my hand while the spinal doctors explained to me why it was very unlikely that I would ever walk again.
She lived in a one room flat at the rehab hospital and was at every physio and OT session I struggled through.
She cooked and had dinner with me every night.
And nearly nine months later she held my hand and we walked out of rehab together.
God I love that woman.
How lucky am I?

Cheers,
Brian

Few years back we went to a party at neighbors place and it was a merry time and fun and quite few beers.

We got back at about midnight and I decided to feed my catfish before I go sleep.  It was a balm night, stars, moon, all quiet - so I laid down on the pier for just a little bit to stretch my back and fall asleep.

My wife found me there sleeping and she could have easily roll me over to the pond and drown me and nobody would suspect anything.

Well, she did not - that's true love right there  ;D ;D

Mine is awesome for just indulging the crazy number of parts shipments to our front door without giving me too much crap...she also doesn't ask about how much I "really" have in the bike.

However her rule is that I have to sell the next one that I build...might not bode well for the H2...might have to put a GL1000 in front of it :-D

You CAN do great things...with enough beer.

Just the fact my wife has put up with me for coming up on 41 years says it all.   ;D
