New SOHC4 in our garage
« on: June 01, 2013, 05:42:58 PM »
My girl has been having a heck of a time getting her FJ600 dialed in. She mentioned that she wanted something smaller, maybe a twin. A good friend had this '75 CB400 and made us an offer we couldn't refuse.
I love it, and seeing her so happy today just made my day as well.

Lots of upgrades, turn key, doesn't really need anything.

It really is. There's one tiny little crease on the top of the tank, but it's all original paint. Carbs have been rebuilt and synched. New regulator/rectifier. Good tires, seat, lights, etc. Pretty much turn the key, hit the button and go.
Non original exhaust, but this one looks and sounds great.

She'll enjoy it for years.  Great to see younger riders on these old machines.  Nice find.

Wow Scott , what a very nice find ! I love the 400's , I hope you guys enjoy it , I know there are some super nice roads all around RH and Ft. Mill , Enjoy !
Found this bike in completely stock condition in Feb. 08. Paid over twice what my new one cost 30 years ago. Am trying to re-create the look of the late 70's Drag Bike styling.More later. 4-2-10 It ain't stock any more and I have no idea what I am trying to create !

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I haven't ridden it yet. We bought it from a friend and he rode it up to the Mods vs Rockers show, so he had to ride it back home. She'll pick it up from him and bring it home this week.
