Looks like you got the HM's to fit!

Your sure lucky that you bought the pipes early on.

Very NICE

Well after grinding on the rear mounts, I got them to line up close enough to get the rubber
clamp on the crossover.  its a little streched out of shape, but it fits and seals shut.  Its
one of those details that no one else will probably notice.  Anyone who has a new set of those pipes
will probably encounter the same problem.

Wonderful job!  I wish I took great quality pics like you did during my resto.  I restored a k1 in the exact same colour.  Love it.

Did you buy new right and left controls or are those refurbished?

Your bike rocks! I like the way you r&r'd the engine and the way you organized the parts. I do have a question though. Can you explain how it went from a K2 to a K1? I'm sure there are some different parts between those years but it still will have a K2 vin plate. Never the less... She is a beaut!!!!
