CB400f Throttle/switches swap
« on: May 31, 2013, 11:00:35 PM »
I need a throttle and switches for the CB400f. Are there other models of CB's that used the same push/pull throttle set up? It need to get something on this one. doesn't have to be Honda as long as it is push/pull compatible with the Honda cables and have ON/OFF/START. I'm looking for a cheap one as I'm running out of  money for this build.

You can find new oem ones, there about $90.  Cheap one will not function the same.  The oem style shuts the headlight off when u engage the starter button.

Cheap one will function how I wire it.  Did all the CB400fs headlight come on with the switch? Mine will be wired OFF/ON/HIGH

I thought all CB switchgear was interchangeable. My lighting switch has off/sidelight/headlight. Left switch has the dimmer.

Like so.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

All I think. I haven't had a push cable in 26 years.

All US CB400's have no off for the headlight, uk had an off.  You either have a uk switch or on oem part.

Would they not both be OEM switches?
