Swapped my tires over to the new (to me) wheels, gloss black rims and hubs, polished spokes...

Drained the tank, and dropped off the tank and side covers for paint, and everything else for powdercoat.  Can't wait to see the new paint job, the brushed on bedliner was getting old!

Ditched the reservoir that came with my Nissin brake lever in place of this nice billet mini reservoir.

Drilled and tapped the swingarm to mount spools.  I never had the center mount so this should make rear wheel and chain service a little simpler.

Started designing a bolt-on rear subframe, Harisluv bent the tube and it looks great!  Hopefully will be fabricating the rest this week.

Debating whether or not I will like this fairing with my TRS HID kit installed behind it...

Picked up all the parts from the powdercoater.  Everything turned out amazing, the level of detail they went to is awesome.  This will REALLY transform the look of the bike.

Installed 14" Progressives (my stock length set with ~1000mi will be for sale soon).  No pictures yet of these.

Seriously love the powdercoat, can't wait to get it all back together.  This is where I'm at, I'll be updating this a lot more frequently from now on!

Thanks!  Maurice - I designed it to mate up to the stock air plenum, replacing the rear section that houses the filter.  Had it 3D printed and used it for a few months.  Really worked great.  Was worried it would crack but when I pulled it off to install the velocity stacks, there were no issues.  Not planning on letting go of it yet...

Any chance you could have another one printed out :) ? In black? That is one swell idea.

Those pieces turned out great! I kind of wish I had used powdercoat for a lot of the engine pieces and frame on my build. Instead I just kept things raw media blasted alloy, brushed alloy, and Semi-Gloss automotive paint. Decided to use those funds elsewhere. Definitely subscribed here.

Trad, I wanted to try to paint as much as possible myself, but didn't end up getting started with this project heavily until January.  This winter has been BRUTAL cold, and without a heated garage I decided to have a pro finish them.  All in all I'm glad I went with powder, but the invoice hurt a little.

Going to send my rotors off to Truedisk to get this pattern drilled, then surface ground.

For everything I have removed, I have ordered button head stainless metric hardware to replace it, except for a few high strength areas like the rotor and caliper where hex heads will be used.

Thanks!  I thought so too.  Got a sneak peek at the tank, side covers and points cover.  They aren't finished yet, still another surprise to come!  The color is Honda Orange Burst Metallic.

That K/N adapter is fantastic. Did you like how it ran? I am slightly opposed to running pods as I want to use the bike as a daily driver, so the idea of the K/N filter replacement is great. But, why do they charge so much different for the black plastic over the white? Rats.

I felt that it ran every bit as good as the stock airbox when I had it mounted.  Would run it again, except I love my SDP velocity stacks haha.  My guess is that the white material is the natural color, and they have to add ($20 worth???) of black dye to make the black parts.  You could always buy the white one and paint it!

Received my rotor from TrueDisc LLC today.  I shipped it last Saturday, so very quick turnaround for drilling and surfacing.

The pattern was supposed to look like the one I posted earlier.  There was a programming error and it started to drill the second hole in the wrong direction, so they had to do the whole pattern like a check mark.  Now that I see it, it isn't as bad as it sounded when Tom emailed me (and was willing to make it right if I wasn't happy, very good service), but I am still slightly bummed that it isn't the pattern I wanted...oh well.

Check the box!  I would figure a way to drill a new disc.  That will bug you for years if you keep it.

Luckily I powdercoated both rotors but only sent one...I might see if they'll drill the second rotor for free or something...the way I wanted it to begin with.

I'm too anal to just be okay with it.  If the additional hole was centered between the two lines, it might have been fine but as it is it looks completely out of place.

In all honesty, I think the added hole looks fine. I had to look pretty hard to see any kind of error.......If that's any consolation  ;)

I agree that it's a matter of personal taste.  Many folks would not notice or not let it bother them.  I'm one of those people where it would bug me too much.  The good news is that you have a spare and he can drill and resurface that one to make up for the other one.
