Lots of tabs shaved. Iron head tank.

Actually it's a moped light. Hahaha. For now it's just sitting there.

I'm going to the swap meet tomorrow to look for a proper fender.

Ill take pix tomorrow of the top tree. I shaved the #$%* out of it and smoothed it out. I'm pretty stoked on the way it came out. First try at that kinda thing. I'm proud of me.

Well I removed the lower bolt on the shocks and set them loosely on the chain adjuster to get a reference on the height I'd like.

I measured and its just about 10" and 1/16 of an inch.
I found these os twisted struts that match that exact length.

Bought them on eBay.

And last weekend I bought a fender off mr Hicks at the swap meet.

Sold it to me for $25!

Can't wait till the struts show up.
Very excited. :)

Struts just came in the mail. They are installed yet I need to hit the hard ware store to get some bolts and nuts.

Thanx I'm doing my best. I know what I want it to,look like and I'm chipping away at it.

I am having a hard time finding the correct specs for float height.

I've seen so,many diffrent heights. And I I know this being a cb750f1 the floats are set different than a standard model.

I've searched but I keep getting mixed information.

Any suggestions would be great.

That rear tire needs to go back or the fender needs to come forward a couple inches. The centerline of the wheel isn't matching the arch in the fender. I like the overall direction though.

+1.  I'd lengthen the swing arm; it'll add to the bike looking low.

Generally I don't understand the point behind the 16" rear wheel conversion you see on lots of 750's that have been rescued from decades in the back of someones shed. But in the case of this bike, a longer rear swingarm plus a 16" wheel and fatter tire would really help make the look.

The fender is just in there via friction fit. You're right it will be coming down a bit.

The tank is an Ironhead tank. I removed the two bars on the spine. Fits nicely.

I would l much rather have extended the swing arm with stock shocks. The swing arm that's on ther isn't my favorite. I'd prefer to extend a round tube one instead. The square one is kinda blahh.

As for a 16" wheel... I like the 18" because it gives good purpose to having the fender come up higher. Gives it sexy curves.

Thanx for the input fellas. The main goal is to get it running. Wiring it from scratch.
Going battery less. I already have a Dyna s ignition for it.

Can't wait to grab the girl and just ride nowhere.

PM Hondaman to confirm, but I believe that the 550 swingarm is actually longer than the 750, so you might be able to get the longer round tube swingarm that way.

Well last night I finished the wiring. I have spark. I need to top off the oil. Install new plugs and caps. Relocate the coils, finish the tank. Add lighting and install brake line, and ride the #$%* out of it.

It is turn key running. I have installed some Lester mags I picked up for $100.

And... I need brakes.
