Thanx digger.
Well I fixed all the air leaks. Those old intake clamps attached to the engine max out over time. So I pushed em closer to the engine where the rubber steps up a bit and that made the boots air tight! Wooo.
Pulled the carbs yet again and readjusted the floats... Number 4 was the cylinder not getting hot as fast if at all. It's needle is a bit on the tired side. I guess after sitting for 10 years, it takes a bit of time for things to settle in again.
Pulled the valve cover and adjusted all the valves. Some loose, some tight, and some just right haha. Now they are all perfect.
This time around I got the sync a lot closer. But number 4 slide needs to come down a bit. It seems to be the suspect of sticking. When I give it a nudge the idle comes down.
Now when I snap the throttle the idle comes right back. No floating.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.
Jets are 125 main and slows are 45. Not sure where the needle is. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Ha.
