1989 FZR 400 RR
« on: June 01, 2013, 01:39:16 PM »
One I restored in 2008 and sold on, this model was never sold in the UK so they were all imports & apparently this is the only one in the UK in these colours.

17" X ? rear rim? Asking for project purposes  ;)
Looks very clean, never seen a FZR 400 in Finland.

My son just started vintage racing a 90 regular model. Great motorcycle and the chassis is awesome. The RR is even more awesome.  8) Here this model had a 17"front, 18 rear. We installed a YZF600 swingarm with a 17 rear.

You can shoehorn a 600 engine in them and even still the chassis is more than adequate.

That must've gone like an S.O.B.!

I only used the one in the photo for about six months before I sold it but it was one of the best handling bikes I have ridden, it was so well balanced. Pointing out that a 90 model is in the "vintage" racing class make me feel really old, thanks for that  ;)
