Topic: cb500/550 carb models

Dear All,

I was trying to understand what are the differences of the various model of CB500 k0 to K3 and with the CB500. From outside they kind of look the same, but from some comments I read they are not inside.

Hi Davide, the carburetors are pretty much exactly the same. I picked up a 1974 CB550 to put the carbs on my 1973 CB500. Spacing is the same for the intakes, etc. All that I can see different are the jet sizes. I am keeping mine with the standard CB550 jetting as I have a 4-into-1 exhaust and pods going on it. If is needs to be leaned out then I will change the jetting but I hope to be all right.
