CB750F '76 cafe rebuild.

Hey lads,

Here's some info with a couple of pics from my first Honda project. It makes slow progress because it eats money. What i've done (Better say: what other's did for me) so far is:

- The wheels are completely redone, new spokes, powdercoated rims, and polished hubs.
- The engine & carbs are rebuilt.
- The tank and seat are from BCR. This will be the final project. (money thing...)
- I've got rid of all the fancy stuff on the frame and at the moment the frame, exhaust and all the other parts are being powder coated.

Since the beginning i've ordered lots and lots of bolts, pins, screws, springs for an entire lifetime. All for a higher purpose i've explained here at home...

With such a clean motor and other parts being powder coated, why not PC the frame too??

Got the parts back from the powdercoater today. Looks neat for a 36 year old pile of iron.

Here some shots from the frame:




I've started putting it together. The only nasty thing about powdercoating is that nothing fits properly anymore.

I'll post some pics of the exhaust next week. It gets a matt black heat resistant coating which takes more time to finish.

Here the exhaust, also made by Carpy. Not very special as it is but it will be wrapped in heat treated fiberglass to give it a raw look.

I have a set of head pipes wrapped in fiber, those are a biatch to work with.  get itches all over when it gets on your skin.  watch out.

It's like that cosy stuff people use in christmas trees. Angel hair they call it here. the cosyness comes after a week scratching like a junkie  ;D
