Anyone ever tried brazing the CB500 clutch adjuster?
« on: June 06, 2013, 06:59:10 PM »
So, I've found that I have the standard cracked clutch adjuster cylinder that plagues the CB500s. I'm one of the lucky one's that just has a crack and didn't find pieces missing. I was considering just going over the crack with a fluxless brazing rod and then grinding smooth again. I could also go the route of just flipping 180 and running it with a new (proper length) rod until that side cracks too.

Has anyone attempted the brazing method? I found a similar thread where the OP said he was going to try it but then vanished and never posted the results. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=6984.0
