Hello,
I have a '76 CB750 with the petcock on the left side. Is is possible to put an older tank, right side petcock on my bike? Will it take a lot of modification or just some extra fuel line to route it under the thank to the left side of the bike.

It will fit and yes you will need to run two fuel lines which is easy and not a big deal.

Can I use the same petcock I have on the left side tank or is the right side petcock different?

The 75-76 petcock is a bung or round fitting while the 69-74 tank with the petcock on the other side is held on by 2 screws.
  So the answer on that question is NO-----

Watch out for your choke lever, too: some combinations put the petcock right where the choke lever is supposed to be. Makes choke use impossible.
