Adding a second brake caliper and rotor to 78 750K
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:45:23 AM »
I was looking at the forks today and they are Identical on both sides. Everything on my left lower tube (Rotor, Caliper, Dust cover etc.) looks as if I could swap them to my left lower fork tube... Thats how it looks anyway. If I bought an entire front brake assembly, could I add it to my right side?

The K7/8 750 has a caliper and matching arm that are different from earlier K models, so you need those vintage parts. The K rotors are the same for all years, and the "Tee" bracket from a post K3 or 550 will work. To fit the later (K3 and up??) speedo drive plate requires machining the back side of the rotor hub for clearance, as mentioned in the other threads.
