pretty stoked about it. next, install the new chain, and service the front brake. take it for a little spin around the block. if it checks out, new tires and a few odds and ends( like replacing the toggle switch starter switch).

got the chain on put about a quart of gas in it, and.....here  we go. just the drum rear brake, front is still in-op.
runs, rides, shifts excellent for a 70's street racer thats been laid up for a couple of years. nice lumpy idle. seems to pull real hard though i didn't put all the stick to it. rear brake only and the rear fender was rattling around like crazy, only one loose bolt holding it on. plus my "call the cops on any loud motorcycle that comes out of that garage" was mowing his yard. new tires and a functioning front brake will be mandatory before any thrill rides.

The logo on the tank  and the bike looks familiar. I'm 45 minutes from Peoria, probably saw it somewhere. Can't remember where.
