got my valve spring compressor at Princess Auto, about $50.
as far as i know it's identical to the MotionPro compressor at 150 or so.
I hated it when I bought it, but eventually it got dialed in. Last reassembly was about 10-15min to put in all the valves.Just set it up right so the cam handle does all the compressing and it works mint.
As for broken plug the only thing i've ever done is CAREFULLY punch it around with a small punch or slotted screwdriver. Broke a plug on a 450R once, but it wasn't seized. Had to remove the head to do it and it took much patience. As posted before check with machine shop, or your local ford dealer. Ford Tritons used to (still???
) break plugs at every maintenance interval. Check out the plug tool and see if its the correct size, maybe take a plug to PartSource and compare it to a 2004 Triton to see if it would work. Maybe the tool is borrow/rentable?
Good Luck!
