Topic: 1973 Datsun 620 - Need A Forum

Hi,

I recently bought a 1973 Datsun 620 pickup truck here in Los Angeles. Well the truck was from Sacramento but it's now in LA with me. Original paint, a great patina, slushbox for the LA traffic, 20k miles on a rebuilt engine and best of all not chopped up.

It needs a bit of work, relatively minor things like brakes, correct carb, electronic distributor and a host of aesthetic fixes to bring it up to scratch. Plus whatever else is not original as I am new to Datsun's.

Anyway, I'd love to get a project thread going for it on a Datsun orientated forum, like our community here at SOHC4.net.

Can any of you suggest a forum that is active and helpful? I've seen ratsun.com and minitruckinweb.com, but I'm not sure if these are best suited for me. Thought someone here might have some suggestions.

Not sure about Datsun forums but just had to say that is a sweet looking specimen. I had a coupla friends back in the day that had those and I always thought they were cool. Too bad it has an auto trans though. I would prefer a manual (just my opinion). Hope ya find what you're looking for as far as info.

Yeah there is a forum for just about everything.

Nice Datsun! Reminds me of back in the day the lil hustlers with the white spoke wheels and roll bars. I had a Toyota truck about the same vintage but nothing to right home about. That thing couldn't get out of its own way. I think Datsuns were it when it came to imported trucks back in the 70's.

@ 333, as I said in my original posting, I know of a few forums. I even found them via Google. Why I asked here was I thought I'd draw on the experience of this normally helpful and knowledgeable community for some that they recommend. So in that regard, I'm not interested in what Google has to tell me. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.

Wife and I had a 1979 Datsun King Cab, traded the worst car we ever owned in on it, 1977 Mustang II.  Kept the pickup till the Michigan salt got it.
