ok so when I picked up my 100$ cb750 it had some interesting features.
First there was a toggle switch with lampwire creeping into the headlight bucket

, turned out to be wired into the headlight itself. At first I thought it was a headlight kill switch as it was a 78cb750K which didn't have a headlight on off switch but was always on. Thought the PO just wanted a stealth switch for night ops but apparently it was more justified then I knew. After getting the bike running and the headlight still not working after removing the "stealth switch" I did some reading and apparently this is a common failure. I am guessing that the switch interrupt burned out somehow and the PO hard wired it to his own switch-
Now I want to do the same thing , ironically. I want to wire a toggle switch to replace my keyed ignition and one for the headlight. I know how to do the ignition but what can I run power from for the headlight. I am guess I need to come straight from the source after the fuse and straight to the headlight with the toggle right before it .
how many amp fuse is the headlight on a K8?
