hey dig this little lathe a mate gave me today,it was his father inlaws whos now passed, its a "lorch" brand,it has an aussie drive motor though,,it all seems to move and work ok,any tips on using it?,i still have to get a box of other stuff that goes with it from him,,im guessing the cutting tool mount and tools, hopefully a tail stock mini chuck?

Bumping this for a friend who is hopefully lurking. ;)

i picked up all the other stuff for it,tool rests and tools, tiny cutting wheels,it belongs in a glass case?a bit of googling shows me the compound slide is a rare option.

i think if your a true watch or clock maker youd use it?it has like a detent wheel to lock the spindle to cut gears and so forth, ill never actually use it,i dont know how?ive had it running,it spins like a top!i just cleaned it up,its made from the most high grade nickel steel or something?and the finish even on the unseen areas is like all the visible parts of it.
