Will a 69-77 big bore not work on a 78?
« on: June 13, 2013, 12:03:49 PM »
I've been looking at 836 kits, and notice that it usually stops at 77, will they not work on a 78 engine?

If it will truly work on a 77, it will work on a 78.  Everything is interchangeable on the 77s and 78s

1974 CB375F Faded Black - had to have that 6th gear

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

'77-78 K that is.............the big-bore kits for the K bikes are not meant to be installed in the F2-F3 models unless you want lower compression.

I have the perfect solution 64 MM Weisco kit high compression would work perfect on your setup jugs, head, pistons, rings, head gasket $300 bucks plus shipping.  It was made for a hemi style setup.  It will need 4 new wrist pins 2520xc is the kit they belong to.

You can go to the Wesico website and check it out.  Will sell for same cost as I got it.  Bolt and go.  I don't want the higher compression setup in my K engines.
