Idk guys. It fired right up idled good no stalls and ran like a champ. Took my first congested red light filled local highway and it was fine. No stalls or kooky throttle. Then took it on nice twisty county road and blasted it. Ridiculous fun. Happy days ! Great start to vacation !

Did some touch up paint on frame last night in some rusty spots and looks ton better.  As I was toolin around I noticed the chain is pretty loose. Probably well over an inch of play. Too loose? How do I tighten it?

I suggest you download the service manual for your bike, it will show you basic maint procedures that you need to learn.
In the meantime, go here...

Getting bike back later today from kid who changed the bars out for me, but apparently the starter button had been jerryrigged up and is now shot. Idk if ill just need a button, or more. So I may be in the market for a new rh control. When I get it back ill open it up to take a look at the damage.

Those starter buttons are a weak link, don't be so quick to judge.
I'm at about 50% at repairing them and prefer to repalce them, not super expensive....when you can find them

Thanks stevo. Still haven't picked it up yet. Apparently now has blown fuse. No spares. Home Depot run tmrw then pick it up and get a look at starter button mess.

Before you pick up spare fuses, bring yours with you...... There are 2 different size 15 amp fuses 20 amp ones too... You need the ones that are not as long..

Stev-o is correct. More and more people I talk to say the life expectancy on the controls and the small plastic parts is about to expire.....

Doubt Home D will have those fuses, go to any auto parts store.
If its blowing fuses, there is obviously a short, possibly bare wire grounding out.

It's a 20 amp. Checked Home Depot and they do have it. 5 pack like 2$. So if it blows another ill ck to see if this wiring job the kid did is blowing it.

I was able to rebuilt the starter switch on my Goldwing last year. It's the same basic control, so hopefully you will be able to fix yours too.
