Be ready to get charged one hour labor regardless if it takes them to burn it in 5 minutes.

This is true... But Competition Cycle doesn't do this. I had them do a simple weld on a license plate bracket I fabed up for my 550 and they charged me $10. Another time I had them weld a 3/8 drive articulating knuckle on a thin wall spark plug socket for $5.

I have always wanted to do my own welding for this type of simple stuff. I might need to take another look at a welder.

I had a bracket welded on a Kerker muffler and the guy charged me $20, I was fine w/it.

I looked into a welder a few times but structurally I do not want to eff things up.. Frame should be done right. I know I could learn but for a build I will leave it up to the pros.. Maybe in the near future I could do it myself.

Thanks Dave for the lead. I will call them Monday.. ...

18x2.15 40 spoke aluminum rim..... look up rustyolive on here... he did a larger wheel on his 550 build. He had to fab up a swing arm....

Oh... hello! ;)  hahaha

I laced up a 18x 5.50 (drilled and punched from Buchanans) to stock cb550 hub with over sized stainless spokes/nips.

How much did this run you if you dont mind me asking

Realistically, way to much. Hahaha.
Rim/spokes/nips/180 Metzeller/offset front sprocket/rear sprocket spacer machined. .... Approx. 1300$.

I made 3 swing arms till I made the one I really liked in the end.

Well I went to Competition Cycle. Charlie was polite and offered to save me money if I removed the section of the frame myself. ...... So I did... I will drop the frame off Monday to have him reframe the rear..

So, I must have missed it. What is prompting the rear frame reconstruction? Changing build plans?

Looks like that has been accomplished!  Your a brave man.....  I wouldn't have the stomach to cut the back of the frame off like that.  No turning back now! ;D

The plan was always to cut the rear frame section off.... I wasn't sure where to cut without ruining the structural integrity... Charlie at Compwtition Cycle pointed out how and where to cut... I need to pick up the tubing and then it's back to CC for the welding.
