I have heard from the grapevine , that a certain GM points sets will work on the CB750 systems.   Does ANYONE happen to know what MODEL/YEAR or even know the part ###

You can Google that.
The article and experimenting was done by PINHEAD on this forum.
But it was not points.
It is electronic ignition from a Chevy Cavalier.
It takes about 30 minutes to read through all of it.

You are thinking of an ignition system/box that used them. 754 likes em, search chevy points. They had a little bulb to set static timing that came as the package too

Maxi dwell setup, did away with regular condensors too
The dirty girl-1976 cb750k, Ebay 836, Tracy bodykit
Round top carbs w/ 38 pilots, middle needle position, airscrew 7/8ths out, 122 main jet
Stock airbox w/ drop in K&N, Hooker 4-1
