1 of the first Sandcasts
« on: June 15, 2013, 05:36:52 PM »

David Silvers in maryland.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Very cool.  I get the feeling that David travels a lot and sees private collections, and they post those pics on their facebook page.  They've posted some very cool stuff, some of which I've linked to on here before as well.

There is only one first sandcast or any other bike for that matter.  Then there is the second, third, fourth.....this seems to be the 31st.  One of the first...one of the last...the phrase has always bugged me, it makes no sense but is so often used.  When is an early example not "one of the first"?  Is it after 25, 50, 100  or......?  How about we just say"an early example". ;D

One from the first "batch" perhaps??  Probably made on the first or second day of production.  4000 miles too which is surprising considering the mississing correct pieces.

One of the first is fitting... As you said, srust, it is the 31st.  This would make it the third of the firsts, the eleventh doesn't count.   :P

There is no way for us to verify if that is the original mileage and I highly doubt it is. Too easy to change out a speedo.
