New old fart from New Zealand
« on: June 15, 2013, 06:51:13 PM »
New to the forum...  Riding bikes since 1972 and I have had 30 plus bikes over the years.

This is the second CB750 four that I have owned.  The first one in 1973 and the current one 40 years later.  It is a July 1974 K5 version with only 16500 miles on the clock.  My son in Australia has picked up a 72 (bit of a basket case but all there) for him to restore for ME / HIM.  I currently ride a Ducati S4R but I am looking forward to getting the K5 back on the road early next year.  This will be my winter project  :)

Regards Brendan (wiggy_nz)

Thank you for the welcome...

RR ... My S4R moved backwards about 8 inches towards my closed electric door and was resting on its side stand... did not fall over though.  When the house stopped shaking (and I got out of bed) I almost ran to the garage with a torch to check on it.  The Ducati was fine, so I turned around, went to the toilet and the back to bed

kghost...  nothing wrong with kiwis.... I have been one for 58 years  ;)

RR ...  I am on the Main Land...  come down to the City that Rocks.  (Christchurch).  I live on the west side and it did not effect us over here much.

I would love to but we are going to Rotarua, whakatane, Taupo and Napier, pretty busy this time. I've been to NZ around 10 times now and have never made it to the south Island, must do it some day.... Keep Rocking... ;D

Went there in winter a few years back, walked outside in about 1 degree Celsius in shorts and T shirts with steam pouring of us, that volcanic water in there is mucho hoto....and very therapeutic

Thanks again for the warm welcomes....  might snow tomorrow so the warmth will b e welcomed  :)

Scunny...  I live beside the Riccarton race course.. all is good here.  If you need help or just company while working on your bike, give me a call on 0274 723 241.  I pour rum during the summer and coffee at this time of the year  :D

You other guys NEED to come down to the mainland...  riding motor bikes around is fantastic.. especially on the west coast and back up the east coast.
