Power to the coils but no spark and no start - HELP!
« on: June 15, 2013, 07:24:51 PM »
I've just finished a rebuild and in the process I installed the pamco points replacement kit.

I have the hot side of a battery going straight to the coils and I've confirmed they have power as well as the points.

The wires will not produce a spark, any ideas what is going on?

I can't get this bike to start and it's killing me!

I now definitely have spark from the plugs but no start still

Any ideas? When I use starter fluid in cylinder one it just kicks it back out the exhaust

What year is it?
Does it have the accelerator pump system?

It's a '75

Carb #1 gets plenty of fuel and I think #2 also

#3 and #4 and totally dry

Plenty of spark, no start when I kick it
