Yeah mate, I read a post by Chickenman that the GL1000 was originally meant to be a sportsbike, and I fell about laughing. I remember when it came out that everyone was comparing it to BMW's, and that made sense to me at the time, the 'wang was just a bigger, heavier boxer with a couple of extra cylinders. Great bike for sure, but no sportsbike, not even "Back in the day".

Current count of 29 pages, over 700 views, and almost 5000 replies. Is the CB450 the most impressive bike ever made. Is it faster in the 1/8 mile than a CB750, how about 0 to 60, maybe it's quicker or more nimble, does it vibrate or not, can it leap tall buildings in a single bound, is it faster than a speeding bullet. I like the bike, but who gives a @#$%^# anymore I know I don't. Come on guys this thread has run it's course and needs to be put to rest and buried

I just started a thread in our provincial vintage group that i want to race a Z1 in 1/8 mile with the Hellsinore.. If someone takes me up on a stocker.. They're gonna be pissed..
