What's the deal? It's like the walls of the socket are too thick.

Get a spark plug socket from any honda tool kit or look for a thin wall socket from Sears. To pull the plug from # 3, it helps to remove the tach cable.

When you re-install the plugs, use a piece of rubber fuel hose connected to the end of the plug, then tighten with the socket.
