Topic: NO LIGHTS!!!

I ride a 76' 750f and ran into a short. the 7a headlight fuse won't hold which means no tail light, (except the brake light), headlight, speedo or tach light. I have a plan to avoid getting in over my head on the wiring. Wondering if this quick fix is going to last. ----run wire from batt + to 15a fuse to toggle to headlight. new ground for headlight. between toggle and headlight splice in speedo, tack, and tail light.---

As long as you use a properly rated switch with the correct gauge wire it should work, but why a 15a fuse when the original is 7a?

I have a box of 15's sitting around. I guess I should pickup a 7a. Yes, I think I'll do that. Thanks for the response momo.
