New from Seattle WA

Hello all!

I'm very new to motorcycle. I experienced my first ride on a Honda Bomber while I was in Vietnam about 5 years ago. Fantastic memories of night rides and rides through the country side. I've been hooked ever since. I've been looking at listings on local Craigslist for the last couple weeks and the asking price for some of these bikes are quite high for the age. I would like to have your opinion on this listing and see if this is something I should go for.

The listing description for the bike is "This bike is in good condition. and has been well maintained at 39k+ miles, just broken in for this engine! It is in need of tune up and rear brake shoes, easy inexpensive fixes. Orig papers, manual and mechanics Clymer manual included, clear title."

Now, the owner asking for $1750. Is that too much for how many mile it already clocked up? Is it fair to make an offer at $1000?

Thanks!
