Topic: 1973 CB500 back yard find

Hello , I just got for my 60ht bday a So.Cal back yard find, 1973 CB500 1234 orig miles and owner ($300). Last registered 1982. A lot of the peripheral rust stuff, not terrible with a few dings on pipes and fender, I was able to clean the gas tank and carbs. The engine has no sign of being molested. Mostly cleaning up and installing few new items. Has extended forks which are going, putting the stock back on. So I'll be keeping in touch with question, and maybe a few answers. This will be first 4cyld I will be restoring.
I was so excited when my step son got it for, the next weekend I left Roseville at 3a.m hopped on I5. in Los Angeles at noon, loaded the bike and was back in Roseville at Midnight.
About a 1000 mi.
 I guess I could have taken GoldWing with trailer and done a SaddleSore 1000

Hi Mark, and welcome!  What a nice find, I love that green color.  These old SOHC/4's are great, I hope you are able to address whatever issues you may find, and enjoy having it on the road.  I'm in Napa CA, maybe our paths might cross at some point in the future.
