Greetings from Columbus, GA
« on: September 04, 2013, 10:39:21 PM »
Was suggested this forum by a friend as a good cache of info for fixing up my recent purchase, he wasn't wrong. Recently decided i'd give motorcycling a go and landed on an inexpensive fixer upper from Craigslist to be my first bike. Took a few knowledgeable friends along and picked up a 1974 CB550K from an older guy a few towns over. It bleeds oil, the throttle doesn't return to position, the electric start is busted(kicks on the first try though), needs a new chain and sprockets, and has had many horrendous, unnecessary cosmetic mods, but it's my bike and i'm proud of it, looking forward to fixing it all up and spending time here.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.
