If anyone is intrested, the site below is a great place for some nifty lighting options---->
http://www.signaldynamics.com/
I have used their little LED strips for years, as they are kick-ass bright , and last.
I had three of them above the license plate of my Ford Excursion as marker lights, and they put off some serious light (for how small they are)..
They are quality built, and not some autoparts store junk...

I recently replaced my Cateye taillight on my CB with one 3'' dual filament strip, and it puts out almost double the
amount of light, weighs less, looks "high tech" , etc...
I have it wired as a brake & running light, as the other two lights on the back of my scoot are.....
Pic below is all the lights on the "running" position, they are twice as bright when the brake is applied  ;D ;D ;D

Hey Zip, just checked your pics. I'm not much on chops but, yours is definitely different. The horn is cool. I like the front end because it's not stuck way out there. I don't know that I could handle the hardtail nowdays but I do like the look. Later on, Bill

Hey, Bill,

One of the many seats I had on this bike was a small single mounted directly to the frame and extended a few inches up the rear fender (the pic in the avatar).  I rode it that way for a while, but eventually my back told me I needed to spring it, so I got a jockey saddle, 3" springs, and bulit a mount for it.  It made a huge difference.  I've done all day trips on it since.  The lower handlebars and larger fuel tank help, too.

That front end is from an XL250 dirtbike and was chosen because its a leading axle unit which kicks the wheel out just enough to make it look more interesting but doesn't compromise handling.  That little drum brake isn't as effective as even the marginal brakes of yesteryear but I have the whole thing under control most of the time.   ;D

I discovered another benefit of the rear turn signals last night, even though now I am once again riding without.  Came home after a just got paid night of celebration (latest project in the can) only to have my heart stopped at the sight of my darling cb lying down on her side.  she wasn't sleeping.  When I got her upright and took the barbacue cover off of her, I was afraid to look.  When I opened my eyes I saw my rear blinker dangling by its wires, AND NO OTHER DAMAGE!!!! I was pissed don't get me wrong, but when I saw the kind of hit my winker took for the team, I kissed it and considered myself lucky for installing it even though i don't really use it on the streets that much and didn't need to do it.   Schools out here so i am thinking it was one of those roving bands of bored youth, because i had a hard time believing that wind could have accomplished what I found waiting for me last night (toppled off the CENTERSTAND, on the sidewalk in front of my house, in between my steps and the neighbors steps, out of the general walkway).  The itch i am left with is being unable to prevent it from happening again.  I thought of spraypainting KARMA on the barbacue cover, but realize that may not stop someone who is either stupid, drunk, young, or otherwise unenlightened.  It is a hard pill to swallow, not being able to protect my baby from this happening again.  perhaps i will start a thread on the measures peopple take to avoid random vandalism, perhaps not, but I wanted to post these pics, for those running without signals- to show that they can save your ass even whennot riding.

I have a friend who has two vehicles.....a new Lexus and and old 80's truck
rust bucket.  He gets cut off all the time in the Lexus ...never in the truck.  ;D

This is really rich, my have times have changed. I remember (I know, I'm showing my age!)
when an OLD vehicle would be a 40's or earlier. Then it was the 50's, then the 60's and so on.
We have come so far and suddenly, I'm getting very tired.   Later on, Bill
