Disc Lock for CB750K?
« on: June 17, 2013, 04:19:19 AM »
Hi there!

I'm looking for a compatible disc lock for a cb750 (I have a K7, but the older K model disks look quite similar). I just bought this one here to find out that it didn't fit: (https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=abus+granit+quick+maxi&biw=1077&bih=659&sei=me6-UaPOCeWA4gT-rYAI#imgrc=_) It would be ok lengthwise, but the holes in the are just too small to get it all through without canting. Before I waste anymore money on something that doesn't work, I'd love to hear some tips from you guys.

Cheers,
Frosty

Do you have the stock undrilled rotor?
I'm using a XENA XX6 disc lock on my K7. I have to remove some of the powdercoat to because of the thick brake rotor and I do have drilled rotors.

Yes, it's the stock undrilled rotor... no luck then I guess. Any other tips on how to secure it? The fork lock is not very secure i've heard... Or is it that those old things might not exactly be on most thieves to-steal list...  ;)

I've. used a bicycle U-lock in the past.
Don't remember what brand.

Thanks for your answers, guys. Looks like I'm going with the Abus Bordo that I took from my mountainbike. That one fits folded under the seat, in the little compartment where the tools should've been (they were missing when I got the bike). I can't say if all of the bordo versions fit there, I have the older first version of it. It's not that secure but at least it's something. :)
