150mph Speedo
« on: September 26, 2012, 07:43:08 AM »
Came across this speedo with a green face and goes to 150mph but I can't figure out which bike it it came off. Box it was in says "early cb750".

Any ideas?

Didn't some 70's MV's or Benelli's use gauges very similar or the same as the Honda ND gauges?

looks just like the one on my K6 (noticing the trip meter reset knob on the side)  I just got the bike and have not noticed how high the mph goes...
If it works good, it looks good...

Laverda used them...

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

That's it! Yes, notice how that gauge doesn't have the red line at 70.

Yes, even though i know Laverda use them, i was recently at a Laverda show and it still takes a second look every time you see them, so used to seeing them on the old Honda's... ;D ;)

In Canada during the late 70s & early 80s, our bikes were not restricted to 85 mph max that the US bikes.  And get this, Canadian version bikes were assembled in the US!!  However, Canadian speedos were calibrated with a dual scale, kilometers and miles per hour.  It maybe that the speedo in question is a Canadian item with a new face applied.

After some looking around on ebay appears it may be a 75/76 GL1000 speedo.

Isn't this an aftermarket speedo? There is no ND logo.
