Wow! Those parts look sexy.  Any more info on those aluminum switches?  They are so clean looking.

X2 on the source of switches?

No problem, it's motogadget too, like my speedo

They exist in diameter 22 millimeters and in 1 inch, the version 1 inch exists with two, or three buttons,
Anodize black or polished

The website, they have full of beautiful stuff

http://motogadget.com/de/

Thank you again has all

Don't worry, I have some pics of all parts assembly, I'll show you later ;)

But before, I go at first show you some modification that I do to adapt the parts ;D

Don't hesitate has to correct me if I make big fault!

Now I go to show you one of necessary modification to adapt the 4 in 4,

The stand

The problem with her it's that she touch the exhaust once folded up

I had to move her has the front of the frame,
But rather than to put back that of the origin
I found one of another bike, more beautiful, she's in alu
She comes from a triumph on 1050 speed triple
15 USD on ebay ;)

I had to put her like that, the length is good

Now I have to modify the support

A fast sandblasting

Cut it

Later I filed it, filed, filed, refiled...
Do you see where I want to come there?

And I file the tracks of molding of the stand too, then sandblasting

I prepare the frame

And I weld! It looks like great! Perfect!

The same length, the same angle as the origin, Great! ;D

Solved problem!

The continuation tomorow, it's 01:00AM here I go to bed ;)

Same for the tacho-speedometer, motogadget parts, german brand

Generator cover

Advancer cover

alu winkers

Alu switch

Alu handle lever

Now my so beautiful french parts 8) Clutch lever and master cylinder, alu cut in the mass

Wilbers shocks, beautifuls to

And my new alu wheels, 3.50*18 for the rear, 2.50*19 for the front ;)

here is, I hope you enjoy

And once again, excuse my bad English

I still have a lot of stuff for you

Thank's for comment ;)

Now I go to show you the support of plate
It is necessary to know that, it's different that in the United States in France,
For bikes the legal size is 8.2 inches by 6.7...
It is enormous...
Besides all the plates are white
But for the old vehicles, have can put blacks

I decide to be outlaw ;D 8)

I puts a black plate in 5.5 inches by 4.7 ;)

But I have to make my own support

At first I draw it

Then I draw it on steel

later I cut

Some finishes

A little of folding

Sandblast

I wants to serve me as the support for winkers too, and I don't want to see the threads

Great!

Here on the bike :)

I hope you enjoy ;)

So, this is the custom "Harley-build" of the CB550, by someone who uses there $/L/E to buy the parts they want on the bike and then assembles the kit...
A hedonistic approach to building...your heart's desire.

Lots of bling $/L/E parts on this build...

Cool build and it will be something when finished.

Be sure to insure it for it's value as it would be a shame for someone to steal it when completed and part it out...taking your hard work and money.

It is funny guys, I have already had the same discussion with buddies about a French forum,
Far from me the need to justify me
But
I am only 26 years old, and I don't have a great deal of money
And rather than to buy the same motorcycle as everything the young people here (Kawasaki z750, Honda hornet, harley 48, ducati monster), who are worth each between 8000 and 11000 euro,
I prefer to spend this in the perfect bike has my eyes

Each the way it makes ;)

Nycepop: Motorcycling is all about personal preferences, what you like to drive :)
I like that you put some extra money on these things that's important to you., cause you're the one that's going to drive it. It's ironic when most of the hord usualy heil the professional bike builders with alot custom made stuff for $$$$$$ but seems to have problem when a regular guy think outside of the box and spend a little more dime on his/her bike.
Please ! Take a look and give me feedback in my project thread, its much needed :)

Don't misunderstand, I don't take exception or mind nycepop's approach. Heck, I would love to afford to do it that way myself. I don't have the money to do it. It just struck me as ironic that lots of Harley bikes would get built/customized that way.
You have a vision of what  you want and you are building it. Kudos for your vision and pursuit of that end goal.

I hope to one day give my '74 a total restoration but it is getting a clean up and getting sorted and back on the road, then when I know what she needs I will save and rebuild her bringing her back to more original shape. I already have plans for modifying her and some of the parts to that end.  But she will look largely stock with some modern upgrades. Mine wasn't of cream puff providence like some bike that have been cafe'd or brat or other non stock builds. POs had repainted the tank and wrecked the front forks on mine.
