King Dick! Haven't seen that name for years. Still makes me smirk.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

I have other important things to remember.......

Like the wife's birthday etc.

I'm afraid if I commit anything more to memory I will flush something critical

My guess is the Hastings compression gauge is from the '30s. The centering rule is even older?

That is the Hastings Leak Detective..probably 30,s or 40,s.. Found it in a pawnshop in Seattle.. The center guage I got as a freebee from a 90 year whose shop was being auctioned off.  I think I found out How old it is... And I was shocked.. .. The ruler is a later one.. The center square is not from the 20th century..

yeah that square is very ornate,"foot print" is another funny old tool name.

heres those indestro ring spanners, i painted them years ago, that 7/16 i ground thin for some tight spot once upon a time and ended up snapping it so i just rounded it over,i think these are 50- 60s?i also have a "bonney"1/2-9/16 flat ratchet six sided ring i got given as a gift in the early 80s.

This is a Craftsman ratchet and sockets that belonged to my dad, the first ratchet I ever used. The square drive was inserted from either side to reverse direction, but usually got stuck in the socket and had to be pulled out with pliers when changing sockets. The ratchet mechanism is very stiff, and unless a bolt was fairly snug, wouldn't ratchet at all. I have no idea how old it is.

i must have some kind of "super mollasses"?this is one day on the stick insect, ill leave it a week and thatll do it.

i found this "coxhead"brand(another one of those funny tool names?)lower shock absorber bushing press, its like a GM genuine tool for holdens,or any of the front shocks with the little pressed in mounting flange?,probably late 60s early 70s,ive just cleaned it up and will sell it on,ive always just knocked them out with a hammer and drift, its a heavy old unit and made here in australia and quite precision in its action.

I picked this up at a flea market in NYC. I asked the guy what it was and he smiled, and said I can have it if I guess correctly. I could'nt figure it out, and he told me what it was, and I bought it(just to display). Can anyone figure it out?  Hint: this would be used in a major city like NYC  ;D

mmm I dont think thats correct, but possible! Not all the "keys" have shoulders to lift a cap, and I think it is too small to lift something so heavy.  Have you seen it before?
