Northern Ireland Newbie
« on: June 12, 2013, 05:39:46 AM »
Hello, I've had this sitting in the garage for a couple of years now

It was running, but the right hand switch gear has given up, and of course it needs four pipes.  The picture makes it look better than it actually is.  A friend who has a 550/4 is going to build a Hailwood replica, so I told him to order two of everything and I would do an old race rep at the same time.  I don't want to copy him so will be looking for another colour scheme, something inspired from the Irish road racing scene would be great, especially as I bought the bike from Hugh OKane in Armoy, but unfortunately they mainly used 2 strokes over here until the Honda v4 came along.

That's it really, I will be in no rush, as I am currently enjoying my BSA B33 that I restored and just got on the road earlier this year.

I see that there are a couple of other Ulstermen on the forum already ;).  I just read StuartNi's build thread, and I can assure you that anything I do will be to a lower standard!  I'll go back to lurking now, but the silly questions will start to appear as we approach the winter. 8)

Welcome, where are you?
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
