ive only used the micro digital bill,i have a spare one of those but use the micropower aswell, the set up is the same for the micro digital and the mark 3,the micropower set up has the rotor set a little of,youll need a timing light to set it correctly,,if your engine runs dont try and time it at the "F" mark,,just increase the rpm and watch as the timing mark advances untill it stops advancing, hold those rpms and adjust the plate to get those full advance marks toward the right hand one, dont overtighten the three screws that lock the plate youll crush it,once its set see where the idle ends up,dont worry where it ends up itll be ok,if you ride the bike properly itll be at full advance all the time anyway.

thanks d500 they used to have weak plates and the racers would not trust the solder on them so they would have them beefed up in this area but I am talking about Norton twins and about 15 years ago.are the modules the same as later ones my worry would be parts.bill

the plate and rotors are all the same and will trigger any unit, its a reluctor type,if your old mark 3 module craps out you can use any of the later modules with it,gremlin race tech seem to have the best prices i think?

the boyer units are solid, and i think little used in the states?they seem to be thought of as like lucas or something coming from england?while guys seem happy to just swap out dynas over and again?no posts here about failing boyers?the one you have works fine with the stock coils,as does the the micro digital, dont use dyna 3 ohm coils,,stick with 5 ohms,i like the boyer bransden units,,they are so good pazon have a page on their website #$%* canning them!how childish?ex boyer personel..

I never did have any problems with them in the past. Here in Canada we had a choice of the boyer or lucas Rita for our brit bikes the Ritas were expensive!bill
