Hey Tom,
I have to hand it to you for delivering the goods. Impressive looking bike and putting your reputation on the line for a 24 day bike build is equally impressive.
Just wanted to offer my congratulations as it has been an interesting few weeks following your progress.

cheers

Thanks man, I could  not have got it all done without my wife., She has been great during this whole project as I built solid right through her B-Day  ::) She kept me focused, and stabbed at my ego when I wanted to give up.

Wow, dude! That really looks killer! 8) So are you going to sell it now or keep it for promotions, etc. ?

BTW, what kind of fairing is that? I've been looking into getting one for my bike.

He said close to 90hp at 9k rpm, which isnt completely unrealistic for a 600cc bike, assuming flow is good, though I'd guess we'd need to see higher than 9k RPM to see those figures. 150hp per litre is (relatively) easy for smaller engines.
That would put RWHP at about 70ish.

Would be a fun ride, for sure, even at 60-70 hp.
No.

Just got her back from a short run. Did ok. Just the clutch is a bit on the off side. My feet are so damn huge I will have to make a special lever for the shifter like I did for the brake lever. I think the brake lever has 4 bends in it to clear the pipes.  ;D Size 13's dont fit anywhere. You know what they say about those guys with huge feet..................................... they have huge shoes ;D

Excellent Build! However, I have to say that I just can't get past that fairing...I hate fairings on SOHC's even Cafe's...but then again what the hell do I know?

I deffinately am excited to see a dyno chart.  Not to prove any stupid point, just to see.  It deffinately sounds like it is putting out some high #'s if it was able to get squirelly so easy.  I deffinately think that 70hp in one of these little bikes would be a real handful- and fun!

Good luck,
JP

She was squirley enough that I got the attention of the local law already. Got stopped for the first time about no plates. I think the guy was looking to see the bike more than being concerned with the fact that the registration was crap.  ;D Good thing too.

Before this gets out of hand again I am going to plug my ears and quietly hum to myself as I walk briskly away in the opposite direction...  ;)

How much do you want for that dead horse mate? I need a new punching bag! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Pretty nice build for only 24 days and under 500 dollars(not including man hours since time is never free). I do have a couple beefs though considering this was built for a show... I like someone else said am completely against the fairing, on our bikes I just dont think they flow. I am not a big fan of running w/ a plain old rotor, you should have drilled it out and made it look sporty\fast. Also based off the pics it seems like little things like brackets and the like are rusting or were never cleaned up... that kind of stuff will kill you at shows.
To my understanding anytime you do heat wrap on exhaust your suppose to start at the exhaust tip and work your way to the header end. If you do it the other way like in the case of this bike the lip of the wrap is in the up position which leaves it to catch water, gas, dirt and other crap which will work its way into the wrap and cause corrosion.

Again I just want to say w/o the fairing I think this bike is great, not what I would considering show quality but very close and would look better then most at the local coffee shop.

Great job!
