the fireblade is now an old model , compared to the kawasaki bmw and aprilia it is lacking in all departments . at the iom however this isn't that important , the bikes dont need to have razor sharp handling and huge power outputs. an easy to ride well balanced bike is what is required and this is exactly what the honda is .on top of that honda hired the two best riders and put them in the most professional best run team in the paddock .
