To be honest, my eyes are inexorably drawn to the cleavage there. But I try not to say anything, just as I don't say 'wow, look at that cleavage' about somebodys wife that's sitting next to me.

But there, now I've said it. I feel guilty for it too...
No.

Sorry to hijack the post with a timing chain question  :P.
750goes said that the timing chain noise was something to worry about.  How much of an emergency is it to get it fixed?  What damage will cause if it isn't?
I have a '75 cb550f with lots of chain noise and have heard that it is just a feature of these old engines...

Fish,

Yes timing chain noise is something to be AWARE of , but not necessarily somethnig to be scared of, the amount of noise is relative to who is listening and how much NOISE you are used to, so just a regular and proper adjustment will normally keep most camchain NOISE within your acceptable limits, also check you manual or this site for lots of ways to adjust your camchain properly.

Having been through this discussion on this and the 650 forum I can relate to concerns in this area. As long as you follow the camchain adjustment procedure outlined for your particular machine (and it seems there are all kinds of ideas on the right way to do it) you have done the best you can do to quell excess noise.

Having said that, my bike seems to run quieter overall when EVERYTHING is tuned up and tip-top.

I suspect that a certain amount of 'rustle' is normal from the top end of our bikes.

The 650 have got a HyVo camchain, and no, it shouldn't rattle when correctly tensioned. You will hear some noise from the tappets, the cam chain, the clutch and the primary drive when you start the engine from cold, but once the engine is warm it should be quiet. You should also make shure you adjust the valve cle clearances before you conclude you have a cam chain noise. The problem with the cam chain is that the semi automatic tensioner sometimes is stuck and doesn't move and take up the slack in the chain when you loosen the lock nut on the tensioner and rotate the engine.

And like nickjtc said, some of us have found our own way to deal with this problem. And he is right, a full tune up and getting the carbs synched will help.

Sorry folks I got carried away there (not needing oxygen yet) didnt mean to hijack a serious post! Fish, i sent you the "Hoe To" from 30 yrs of experience.
The 500/550/650 camchain tensioner is one of Hondas most reliable, Unlike the 400, but all the chains can get a slack (or tight) spot and it can be worth trying to tension at several different points to get the quietest BUT BEWARE with the Hy-Vo chains of getting them too tight as then can and do snap, normally on the 250/400 twins but possibly on others.
