Things To Know About Solid State Rec/Reg??

Anything to know?
Looking for one for my chopper.

Most seem to be ~$100
Any one better the others?

What have you bought/used?

oregon motorcycle parts has what you need.  2 seperate fit in stock locations rectifier and regulator........both solid state units.  have them in mine now about 4 years and like them

I paid $30 for one off ebay.  Straight from Hong Kong.  The unit works fine and all the wiring had the correct color code.  I'm sure the two-piece units are OK as well as the $100 ones.  I just don't like over-paying for a relatively simple piece of electronics.

I don't subscribe to the "you get what you pay for" idea in all cases, nor do I believe that everything built in Asia cheap is crap

But I have had issues with electronics for Honda singles from there.
