« on: June 28, 2013, 09:40:51 AM »
Hi, anybody know if there are high compression pistons available for a 350 4, standard 47mm bore , or an alternative that can be used.

Been talking with a few companies trying to get a set made. No one but wiseco has a forging that small, and they require a few sets be made for custom orders. Only real option is going to be billet, which are pretty pricey ($1000-$2000)

I have spoken to arias, wiseco, diamond, and wossner. (The wossner rep used to work for je).

Several of the small Honda singles used 47mm pistons, such as the CT 70, and XR70s. Wiseco lists a piston for the 2001 XR 70 with 10.5:1 CR. It might be worth asking them for a blueprint of the piston to see if it might be used as an alternative. BTW, these pistons are not cheap: $104.38 each. There is also a ProX version, most likely cast, for $51.15 each.
