Topic: cb750 winker makes clicking sound and does not work

Hi there!

When I bought my cb750 K7 a few weeks ago, the winkers on the right side worked ok but on the left side they were shining permanently when put on. As I had some problems with the headlight (when put on the engine would turn off), I thought this had to do with the battery being almost completely discharged.

Today I received a set of LED bulbs to replace the stock bulbs in the winkers and now the right side does not light up at all and the relay (or something next to it) makes a fast clicking sound. The left side still lights up like before. I changed back to the stock bulbs on the right side but it's the same thing: right side does not light up and I have that clicking sound.

Can anybody help me ID what is the problem here? Do I have do buy a new winker relay unit or is the problem elsewhere?

Not grounded properly. Look in the bucket to see if one may have come loose or touching a different

Grounding, which side do you mean - or both? On the right side where it makes the clicking sound i didn't change anything, apart from the bulbs...

The side that won't blink.  I had this before. Turn signals would work. I install the headlight and somehow the wire will get pinched or the ground is rubbing

yes, a grounding issue. mine did the same. it turned out to be the hot wire at the right rear winker hot was being pinched and grounding out to the frame. check those kinds of things too.
