Have a chance........
« on: August 05, 2006, 06:54:17 PM »
to acquire a '76 750F. It is all there, but........it sat in a garage for years and is now seized. Anyrate, it could make a good cafe project. Does anyone have any pictures of this year being made into a cafe bike. I was wondering how the seat tail and tank would look if they were used. Another issue with this bike, is it has been abandoned along with the home it sits in. The sheriff sale for the house included this but it is not on a bill of sale. What can I do with it? The owners are lost to history, that is why the property was sold.

Thanks for the replies. Very nice looking "F"! I bet it does turn heads. Why would you change the head back to a K model head. Aren't the F's supposed to be a more high performance head?  Whose exhaust is on the bike? On a curious note, how many cc's can you take these engines out to reliably? How about horsepower gains.

The 78 f engines aren't as long lasting as the K, and I needed to get into the engine anyway, I'd go with an 810 or 836 for reliability, I kept mine at 736, and I  ran down a cbr somethingoranother yesterday so even that has enuff power for me. I'd upgrade the braking before i upgraded power. the exhaust is a completely stock factory set=up.
