« on: April 11, 2020, 06:46:09 AM »
Am trying to add fork oil and caps are unscrewed but they won't come out. they seem to be attached to the spring. Anyone ever have this problem?

There is a rod threaded into the top nut and a locknut, the other end screws into the damper at the bottom

These are two completely random, unrelated questions.

Do a search for pods. There are a few posts on this on the first two pages alone.
Yes, you will need to re-jet,  probably change the needle position and adjust your mixture screws.
No, nobody can tell you what settings or jet sizes you need. Plug chips, dyno time and tuning will tell you.

You may need new rubbers for the air box that fit over the back of the carbs, since 45+ year old ones are never a walk in the park for even the most experienced rebuilder.  For $50 you can probably find an aftermarket air box rubber set which will be a lots easier than going the carb/jet route.

4 into 1 out of San Francisco is a good reseller who likely has the kit for sale.
